What is a Eucharistic Congress?
A Eucharistic Congress is a gathering of clergy, religious, and laity to bear witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. These gatherings bring together parishioners and religious from all over the Charlotte Diocese, with over 90 different parishes represented each year.
The Congress includes Eucharistic Procession in Uptown Charlotte, a Holy Hour with the Bishop of Charlotte, the celebration of the Holy Mass, Eucharistic adoration, engaging speakers, and other devotional ceremonies.
The first Eucharistic Congress for the Diocese of Charlotte was held on September 23 & 24 of 2005. It continues to be a source of inspiration for all of those who attend each and every year.
