Eucharistic Congress participants should line up along Wells Fargo Plaza at the corner of South Tryon and Third streets (purple area on map) to watch the procession and join in behind their parish’s banner. The procession route will proceed starting at 9 a.m. from St. Peter Catholic Church on South Tryon Street through uptown Charlotte into the Charlotte Convention Center:
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FIRST COMMUNICANTS
- The 2020 and 2021 First Communicants have received an invitation from Bishop Peter J. Jugis to lead the Eucharistic Procession on Saturday morning. First Communicants should assemble at the intersection of South Tryon Street and Martin Luther King Blvd. by 8:30 a.m. (orange area on map). The street will be closed off to allow the procession to assemble. The procession begins promptly at 9 a.m. First Communicants should wear their First Communion outfits.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS
- Parents/guardians should supervise their children before and during the procession. That means they should walk along the procession route, on the sidewalk, as their child walks in the procession the entire route into the Charlotte Convention Center.
