Father Tri Truong has served as pastor of the Diocese of Charlotte’s largest Vietnamese congregation, St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Parish in Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2011.
A native of Vinh Long, Vietnam, he was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Charlotte on June 7, 2008, by the Most Rev. Peter J. Jugis. Prior to becoming pastor at St. Joseph, he served as parochial vicar at Holy Family Catholic Parish in Clemmons, North Carolina.
Father Truong has drawn audiences across the United States, Canada and Australia through broadcasts of his weekly homilies in Vietnamese on the Saigon Broadcasting Television Network (SBTN).
